1, To express surface of something - ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു സാധനത്തിന്റെ മുകളിൽ ആണെന്ന് പറയാൻ വേണ്ടി On ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

> The book are on the table - ആ ബുക്ക്‌ ടേബിളിന്റെ മുകളിൽ ആണ്

2, say somebody work out side a building - ഒരാൾ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഒരു building ന് ഉള്ളിൽ അല്ല പുറത്ത് ആണെങ്കിൽ അവിടെ on ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

> My father work on a petrol pump / on a farm / on an estate

3, Indicate device and machines - അതിന്മേൽ ആണ്  എന്നൊക്ക പറയാൻ on ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

right now - ഈ നിമിഷം വരെ, ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ 

> He is on the phone right now - അവൻ ഈ നിമിഷവും ഫോണേൽ തന്നെ ആണ്.

> He is on the Tv - അവൻ Tv യേൽ ആണ് 

4, Indicate part of the body - നമ്മുടെ ശരീര ഭാഗത്തിന്മേൽ എന്ന് പറയാൻ വേണ്ടി On ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

> He kissed on my cheek - അവൻ എന്റെ കവിളിൽ ചുംബിച്ചു

> He slapped on my face - അവൻ എന്റെ മുഖത്ത് അടിച്ചു

5, state of something - ഒരു കാര്യത്തിന്റെ അവസ്ഥയെ പറയാൻ On ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

> The mobile are on sale - മൊബൈലുകൾ സെയിലിൽ ആണ് ( മൊബൈലുകൾ എപ്പോഴും sale ൽ ആയിരുന്നില്ല എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ sale ൽ ആണ് )

> The library book is currently on loan - ആ ബുക്ക്‌ ഇപ്പോൾ കടത്തിൽ ആണ് ( അതായത് ആരോ  കടം മേടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ്യിരിക്കുക ആണ് )

6, Number of building and floor - ഒരു ബിൽഡിങ് ഇന്റെ എത്രാമത്തെ നില എന്ന് പറയാൻ on ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു 

> The bank is on the first floor - ബാങ്ക് ഒന്നാമത്തെ നിലയിൽ ആണ് 

> My house is on the ground floor - എന്റെ വീട് ഗ്രൗണ്ട് ഫ്ലോർ ൽ ആണ്.

7, indicate travel on foot and two wheeler - നടന്നുപോകുമ്പോളും റ്റു വീലറിൽ പോകുമ്പോളും അവിടെ On ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

> She goes to school on foot - അവൾ നടന്നാണ് സ്കൂളിൽ പോയത്.

> She goes to school on bike - അവൾ ബൈക്കിൽ ആണ് സ്കൂളിൽ പോയത്.

> To represent a specific bicycle, Bus, Train, ship and plane - ഒരു നിർദ്ദിഷ്ട bus ലോ,  bicycle ലോ, ട്രെയിൻ ലോ, ഷിപ് ലോ പോകുമ്പോൾ അവിടെ on ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

 EX: ഞാൻ qween mery ഷിപ് ൽ പോയി - I went on the Queen Mary ship.

Ex : ഞാൻ 8 മണിക്ക് ഉള്ള ബസിൽ  തോളിക്കോട് പോയി - i went to tholicode on the bus 8pm.

I will go on the 7.30 bus - ഞാൻ 7.30 ന് ഉള്ള bus ൽ ആണ് പോകുന്നത് 

എന്നാൽ specific അല്ലാത്ത വാഹനം Ex : ഞാൻ കാറിൽ സ്കൂളിൽ പോയി - i went to school by car

Use in - നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു taxi യോ,  വാനോ , ലോറി യോ, ആംബുലൻസോ ആണെങ്കിൽ അവിടെ in ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്

> I go in my car - ഞാൻ എന്റെ കാറിൽ പോകുന്നു ( ഇവിടെ in വരാൻ കാരണം specific ആയിട്ടു My വന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ( എന്റെ കാർ ) ഇവിടെ in ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ My എല്ലായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവിടെ by car എന്ന് വന്നേനെ.

> She came here in his taxi - അവൾ ഇവിടെ അവന്റെ ടാക്സിയിൽ വന്നു.( ഇവിടെ in വരാൻ കാരണം specific ആയിട്ടു His വന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ( അവന്റെ ടാക്സി ) ഇവിടെ in ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ His ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവിടെ by taxi എന്ന് വന്നേനെ.

8, indicate a topic  - ഒരു topic പറയാൻ വേണ്ടി On ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. അതായത് ഒരു topic ന് മേൽ എന്ന് പറയാൻ.

Ex:  I am writing a book on English grammar - ഞാൻ ഒരു ബുക്ക്‌ എഴുതുകയാണ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഗ്രാമറിന്മേൽ.
